We at Firestone Baptist Church believe:

We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God in all parts and wholly without error.

We believe that the Bible is the sole of authority in all matters of faith and conduct. (2 Timothy 3:15, Psalm 119:60)

We believe in the one true God, who is the first person of the Trinity; perfect, infinite, and eternal. He is revealed to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Isaiah 45:22, Deuteronomy 32:4, Romans 11:33, Psalm 90:2)

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the second person of the Trinity, the Eternal Word and only begotten Son. He became man by the miracle of the virgin birth; true God and true man. (John 1:1, Isaiah 7:14)

We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity; that He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. (John 16:8)

We believe that all men, by nature and choice, are sinful and lost; that man is the direct creation of God, made in His image and likeness. (Romans 3:23, Genesis 1:27)

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross as a representative, vicarious, substitutionary sacrifice; and that our justification is made sure by His literal, physical resurrection from the dead (Acts 2:18-26; Rom. 3:24-25; 1 Pet. 2:24; Eph. 1:7; 1 Pet. 1:3-5).

We believe salvation is by grace through faith and is a free gift of God, neither merited nor secured by any virtue or work of man; received only by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 6:23, Titus 3:5)

We believe that repentance is required for salvation.( 2Peter 3:9, 2 Corinthians 7:10, Acts 17:30)

We believe in the imminent, bodily, and premillennial coming of the Lord Jesus Christ in the air to catch away all believers unto Himself; and in the personal, visible, and glorious return of Christ to the earth, with believers, to judge the nations and to set up His millennial Kingdom on earth. (Matthew 24:42-44; John 14:3; Acts 1:11; I Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 19:11-16; 20:4-6)

We believe that God hates divorce and intends marriage to last until one of the spouses dies. Although divorced and remarried persons or divorced persons may hold positions of service in a church and be greatly used of God for Christian service, they may not be considered for the offices of pastor or deacon of a church. (Malachi 2:14-17; Matthew 19:3-12; Romans 7:1-3; I Timothy 3:2, 12; Titus 1:6)
